aries new moon
Hope you’ve enjoyed the winter slumber (or at least overcome it…)! Today, you have the opportunity to create a new story under this new moon’s influence. Time to shake off the past, take a deep breath, and feel that spark within you that wishes to burst forth!
I love a laugh, and a new moon in aries 3/21/23 at 1:23 pm (eastern standard time) feels like the countdown to all signals go! Aries loves a countdown, a race, a moment to show off and show out. Pressure gives the moment momentum.
An Aries moon is one that knows no physical bounds. The hypeman, the party on-the-go but make it the business… an Aries moon is all about the thrill that just * might * position them into the right place, right time. It’s the pivot, the unplanned brilliance of the intelligence inherent to aliveness. Inspired, instinct serves. With a forte for fine-tuning the first impression (or response), muscle memory seems like a more accurate place for the manifestation of forethought when it comes to the moon moving through this fire sign. It’s a think less, do more situation.
The past 7 months or so have been a strange and hazy daze of false starts and run arounds. Having trouble finding your true north? We’re clearing the fog and the signs are starting to come through… ablaze! What seems to be jumping off the page for you at every turn? That’s not a hint…. that’s a wake - up call!!
You’ve learned some lessons. You’ve likely stumbled, hit dead ends, maybe cut some loose cords along the way… tangled up in blues no more, though. The Sun exalts in Aries, sending light codes to awaken even the sleepiest of seeds.
“nothing can dim the light that SHINES FROM WITHIN.” Maya Angelou (SUN/JUPITER IN Aries, MOON IN LIBRA)
Follow the signs, trust your instincts, and go with the ‘first feeling’. It’s probably the right one. Learn to trust yourself, even when the path isn’t clear. Learn to embody your all-ness (through experience) without the guilt or shame of the conditions of the world… let your fire burn bright (let it shine). You could just be the beacon, the spark that not only lights the way for your path to unfold, but inspires others to ignite the spark within themselves as well. We need more of that, in all the infinite expressions possible in this strange and beautiful life. BE your own leader. Be bold & be brave in your unique expression (be kind, too.)
“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anaïs Nin (libra rising/mars in libra ruling the Descendant in Aries).
That time is now.
New moons are moments to set intention. Create a symbol of what you wish to sew, of what you wish to see(d). Dandelions abound this time of year. Imagine your wish like a dandelion seed. Don’t hold on too tightly, no matter what direction the wind blows, the seed will weave its way back into a dandelion. You’ve got this, it’s already in you! Essence is the name of the game.
Without revealing too much of the detail just yet… I’ll let you in on a little astrological phenomenon. This isn’t the only Aries new moon we will have this month (this NEVER happens!). So soak it up, because the next one will be an eclipse & likely a game changer. Feels like a plot twist, and I’m here for it ! stay tuned.
I dedicate this post to my cat Yarrow, born under an Aries Moon. Yarrow for Yarrow. & to my first son, Leo (not a Leo!), born at 0° Aries, a brilliant guiding light in my life. Lot’s of love & light speed!
Pink Yarrow
connects to those who need a clear message: your sensitivity is your strength. Yarrow is a known protector. Like it’s millions of dense shield like petals, it gives one an awareness of the force field of their own energetic body.
For sensitive folks, ones who easily absorb the energy of their surroundings, Yarrow knits the aura of the individual, healing any areas that may ‘bleed’ between the lines of self and other. What is so beautiful is that as an herb, the plant offers the same physical healing as well. The feathering leaves of the plant can be applied directly to wounds to slow bleeding. There are many folklore tales of yarrow and it’s aide in the kitchen garden as well as on the battlefield.
Yarrow teaches us that we are, like it’s name implies, multivalent beings. If you get the chance look closely at the flower, it will wink at you with a thousand petals. A reminder that what we think we see or feel is sometimes very different when we choose to focus our energy on what is actually experienced in the present moment.
An essential herb & flower, and the namesake of my beautiful kitty, Yarrow guides us to take care of our self. Reminding us that our energy is vital, and with each heart beat, we are directed back to the wholeness that can happen under the wing of its healing protection.”
