Venus turns retrograde in bold, pioneering Aries March 1, 2025. Every Venus retrograde lasts about 40 days, echoing ancient tales of transformation—think the Biblical “40 days and 40 nights,” or the Sumerian goddess Inanna’s return from the underworld to clearly assess what has happened since she’s been on her transformational journey. During this time, Venus (the planet of love, values, and beauty) appears to move backward from our viewpoint on Earth. In this moment, Venus steps onto the earthly plane, infusing it with an inner Venusian light, and calling attention to outdated ways of being that are ready to be released so we can ultimately renew. This time around, Venus will remain visible at a declination of 9° as it passes in front of our solar star to the morning star phase.
